Implementing Pharmacist-Prescribed Contraception Learning Community
ASTHO is currently accepting applications for participation (up to four 4 teams) in the Implementing Pharmacist-Prescribed Contraception Learning Community (“IPPC LC” or “Learning Community”). The IPPC LC will provide state and territorial health agencies (S/THAs) with technical assistance needed to develop sustainable strategies for implementation of pharmacist-prescribed contraception (PPC) programs, including building workforce capacity, exploring sustainable reimbursement pathways, and developing patient awareness campaigns. A key component of the project is fostering collaboration between stakeholders in the pharmacy field and sexual and reproductive health partners. By bringing together pharmacy schools/associations and public health professionals, this initiative will break down silos and encourage cross-sector coordination, enabling jurisdictions to align resources and develop cohesive approaches to expanding contraceptive access.
Please contact contraceptionaccess@astho.org with any questions and include “RFA: Implementing Pharmacist-Prescribed Contraception Learning Community” in the subject line.
